Lusitano horses were originally bred for bullfighting, requiring boldness, courage, and strength. Lusitanos can become "hot" and difficult to handle if not properly exercised.
These images of a champion Lusitano stallion running free and untethered, use powerful studio lighting for ultra-fast flash durations to freeze detail to less than 1/6000th of a second.
The goal was to capture both the spirit of freedom and the power of the horse.
