Bald Eagle #2
Bald Eagle #2
The sentinel. A bald eagle perched on a tree stump.
Their name sounds like something of a misnomer as they are clearly not bald. It actually comes from an old English word, "balde," meaning white. The adult is mainly dark brown with a white head and tail. The males and the females share similar plumage, but females are about 25 percent larger than males. The bald eagle is the national bird of the United States of America.
Archival pigment print on smooth matt Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm heavyweight art paper.
