Tips for the Augmented Reality feature
Use the technical magic of augmented reality to see a virtual print, framed or unframed, at the correct scale in your own home. Tap the 'View on my Wall' button to place and position any picture in the collection to view from different angles using your phone or tablet.
- Good lighting helps your camera "see" the wall. The brighter, the better.
- Point your camera at the area where you want the picture and slowly move side to side.
If nothing happens after 3–4 seconds, try a gentle up-and-down motion.
Still not working? Step closer or further back. - Furniture or objects in the frame can confuse the camera. Get close enough so only the wall is visible.
Once the picture mounts, step back and move around for different angles of view.
If the picture sticks to the wrong surface, just restart the process. -
Working with Blank Walls
Plain painted walls can be tricky for cameras to detect. Walls with texture, wallpaper, or existing decor are easier.
If there are features on the wall:
Aim at the detail and mount the artwork there.
Step back to include the floor or ceiling in view.
Touch the artwork on-screen, move the camera to your desired spot, then release. The artwork will stay in place.
If it’s a completely blank wall:
Tape up a newspaper or magazine page where you want the artwork.
Point your camera at it, mount the artwork, and slide it into position. - If the artwork appears at a crooked angle, no worries, just exit and try again.
Have fun and experiment to get the hang of it!
