The Rainbow Lorikeet is a species of small parrot found in Australia. It is common along the eastern seaboard, from northern Queensland to South Australia. Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas but also common in suburban areas.
They have a playful, cheeky character and can be quite tame around humans.
This parrot is mainly green on top so I wanted to capture him from below to show his amazing colours. Not so easy when in flight, as he moves very fast!
