This dazzling explosion of color is one of my homegrown parrot tulips. Something I love about still life photography is that you can make heroes of small things. When it comes to nature, the closer you get, the more detail you see. When magnified as a beautiful fine art print this detail becomes all the more remarkable.
This image is blended from 120 separate shots at slightly different focus points to enhance depth of field. This is the only way to create pin sharp detail from front to back when viewing close-up through a macro lens.
